Keith Jarrett, Gary Peacock, and Paul Motian reunite at the intimate Deer Head Inn in this historic live recording, now available together for the first time on vinyl.
The set captures Jarrett’s spontaneous return to the Pennsylvania venue of his early years. Stereophile praised the first volume for its “dash and the unabashed lyricism of Keith Jarrett’s best work.” The second volume, The Old Country (released in 2024), earned equal acclaim—John Fordham in The Guardian called it “song-based jazz-imagining at its best.” Jarrett himself noted, “I think you can hear on this tape what jazz is all about.”
This limited-edition boxset combines both albums across 4 LPs, housed in two tip-on gatefold jackets and a deluxe slipcase. There will be no second print run, making it a strictly limited collector’s edition.
For fans of Jarrett’s piano trio work, this is an essential and beautifully presented document of a special live moment.
